3D Secure, or 3 Domain Secure to give it it's full name, is just one of a number of tools available to e-commerce retailers to help minimise the risk of online fraud or purchases made using stolen credit and debit cards.

Essentially, 3D Secure provides an additional authentication step for online payments.

As you’ll no doubt have already read (!?!) in my previous blogs, we took the decision to develop Yetti as a cloud-based e-commerce and content management platform when such things were in their infancy.

We felt that the ‘Cloud’ (and Rackspace’s version in particular) and a Software-as-a-Service provide exactly the flexibility and benefits that we were after for the platform.

Our decision has been vindicated as the number of other platforms and applications on this model have grown.

VAT on international sales

Whilst Yetti has always supported European VAT calculations, we've recently added a new feature to the checkout which allows merchants to specify the countries that are applicable to pay VAT. If a customer chooses a shipping address within one of these countries, then VAT is added to the order, otherwise it won't be.
